Children with Disabilities Are Worth Your Investment

Children with disabilities are estimated to make up one-third of all orphans and children living in foster care around the world. (Christian Alliance for Orphans). Many of these children have one living parent but have been placed in an institution, often due to a lack of resources to care for a child with disabilities.

Jared Scheppmann, Executive Director, Ekisa Ministries, says that although it is not always easy and it can cost a lot of money to care for children who are orphaned and have disabilities, it is not only worth it, but it is often easier than you think. It takes learning and the right resources and training, but with that kind of support, ordinary people or organizations that help children can also learn how to care for those with disabilities.
