World Without Orphans knows that we are stronger together. We have been blessed to work alongside leaders who are striving to see more children in safe and loving families and to help end orphanhood right where they live. We have a common vision and share the same belief that we can help more children when we work together, learn from each other, and collaborate to have more impact in our countries. Simply put, we can achieve more together than we can alone.
“Building and developing strong relationships and leaders has been at the very core of WWO’s DNA and we have found that in this digital age, it is still vital to bring leaders together in person because there is a richness and depth to relationships that happens when we take time to interact face to face,” said Karmen Friesen, WWO Global Team.
With this in mind, WWO Global Team recently hosted the WWO Regional Ambassadors and Friends Gathering in Pennsylvania, USA. Twenty-seven Regional Ambassadors from 18 countries and seven regions met at Refreshing Mountain for a powerful time of rest, renewal, and shared vision. Leaders from across Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Europe, MENA, and North America came together to pray, learn, and strengthen relationships.
Over four days, we celebrated God’s work, shared stories of impact, learned from one another, and explored practical ways to strengthen national initiatives. Times of worship, reflection, and fellowship were woven together with teaching from experts in the field, roadmap conversations, and meaningful collaboration.
Leaders left encouraged, refreshed, and united with a renewed commitment and strategies to help every child grow up in a safe, loving family.
