William J Blacquiere has served as president and chief executive officer of Bethany Christian Services since January 1, 2006. He served as chief operating officer from 2000 through December 2005. Bill has worked at Bethany Christian Services since 1986, in a variety of positions. Prior to his work at Bethany he supervised children’s protective services, managed contracts with various agencies and developed innovative family based programs. At present Bill is providing leadership to over 100 offices in the United States and to Bethany’s international social services in 18 countries. He is on the boards for National Council for Adoption and Christian Alliance for the Orphan. Bill graduated from Calvin College with a degree in psychology and received his Master’s Degree in social work from Western Michigan University. Bill is married to Mary for 43 years, they have four children and six grandchildren.
