It has been one year since the Global Forum for a World Without Orphans in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where God gathered 460 global leaders from 63 countries to work together to strengthen families and end orphanhood. The Forum showcased best practices from around the world and brought regions together to help achieve this vision. We are grateful for its lasting impact, and we are excited to reflect on the progress made in the year since.
One Year Since the Forum
Many countries, including Egypt, Kenya, Jordan, Macau, Malawi, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Singapore,
Sri Lanka, and Thailand, held WWO Round Tables in the past year to help leaders strategically develop action plans to better address the orphaned and vulnerable child challenges in each of their nations.
Several also incorporated trauma competency, Hope Groups, Roadmap, and other training with the round tables.
All regions continued training in the WWO Roadmap, helping to equip local leaders and build learning communities where leaders collaborate to solve problems facing children in their countries and lean on each other and God to live refreshed.
