Simon Kayembo is a Zambian citizen and is married with two children. He graduated from the University of Zambia (UNZA) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work; and, he is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Work with specialization in Social Policy and Administration.

Simon has extensive experience in working with communities. He volunteered with several organizations including Development from People to People (DAPP) and Child Aid. Simon worked for National Trust Fund for Persons with Disabilities under the Ministry of Community Development Social Services (MCDSS) from 2005 to 2011 as a national coordinator, at the same time he sat on several committees which included the Social Protection Committee and Child Protection Committee.

He later joined Children International – Zambia in 2013 where he worked as a service area coordinator. In 2014 he joined Christian Alliance for Children in Zambia (CACZ) as a social welfare officer and rose to a position of a manager of the Foster to Adopt Program. He currently serves as Director of Social Services at CACZ and oversees all social services programs.
