Paola Paulini

Wife and mother of three children; Founder and Director of Casa de la Mujer

Casa de la Mujer is a comprehensive support center that serves mothers and unborn children by helping women who are going through a vulnerable pregnancy. The center provides support and care in the physical, emotional, social, legal, and spiritual areas.

In her experience, Paola has seen that 85% of the women who receive support give up the idea of abortion and find restoration and new meaning in motherhood. Strengthening the bond between the mother and the child from the gestational stage helps to ensure that the child will not experience abandonment or parental neglect or end up institutionalized.

During its seven years of activity, Casa de la Mujer has accompanied 88 births and assisted more than 140 women through group workshops and personalized meetings.

In response to awareness of mothers’ needs and in alliance with the city’s Pastoral Council, Casa de la Mujer began to promote the importance of shelter families. This network has continued to grow stronger and to become a reliable source of support.

Casa de la Mujer also works to prevent teenage pregnancy and child sexual abuse in a network with schools and educational centers.

Paola believes that there is great value in collective impact in favor of the mother, the unborn child, and teenagers who are becoming parents.
