Nicole Baldonado

Program Coordinator of Hope Groups 

Nicole is a social worker and certified trauma professional, with a background in human trafficking prevention and community engagement. She is the program coordinator of Hope Groups through World Without Orphans Global. Hope Groups are psychosocial parenting support groups for Ukrainians impacted by war, built from evidence-based parenting tips in collaboration with Parenting for Lifelong Health.  

Nicole worked with other trauma experts and Ukrainian nationals to develop the Hope Group curriculum, pilot the program, and train other Ukrainians in leading these groups. To date, the Hope Groups have served 1,700 Ukrainians in and outside Ukraine.  

Nicole originally moved to Ukraine as a missionary child in 1995 and has lived in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Lviv as part of church-planting efforts. She and her husband have raised their three children in Ukraine and now in Poland, where they continue to be involved in a local Ukrainian community.
