Menchit Wong

Co-Vice Chair, International Board of the Lausanne Movement

Menchit accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and Lord during her first year in university. In her second year, through the impact of an orphan child in a government shelter, she received God's call to care for children at risk and their families. Since that time, Menchit has dedicated her life to caring, championing, and speaking on behalf of vulnerable children.

Menchit served with Compassion International for 30 years, in various national and international leadership roles. She has also served in the leadership teams of global movements and networks such as the Global Children's Forum, the 4/14 Window Movement, the 1for50 Movement, World Without Orphans, the Global Alliance for Holistic Child Development, and in the Lausanne Issue Network on Children at Risk. Along with her current role as Lausanne’s board co-vice chair, Menchit volunteers with two new global initiatives: the Lausanne Leadership Journey and the Galilean Movement.

After her tour of duty in full-time ministry with children and families, the Lord led Menchit to serve in the marketplace. Since 2018, she has been a Gallup-certified strengths coach, leadership consultant, and learning facilitator with various secular companies. In this work, Menchit’s goal is to walk alongside leaders in their life journey of embracing their God-given purpose and experiencing life in all its fullness.
