Marcos Vergara has been a pastor in Paraguay for 20 years. Since the day he was born again, he has had a relentless focus on the most vulnerable children, families, and people. About 25 years ago, God revealed to Marcos his heart for children who are aborted and abandoned, as well as his call for developing attitudes of active hope in the church.
Marcos has served in the Viva network ministry. After the first WWO Global Forum in 2016, he collaborated with other leaders who were similarly called to start the “Paraguay Protects Families” (PPF) movement.
Marcos serves as vice president of the Evangelical Churches Association of Paraguay (ASIEP) and as coordinator of the Children's Commission of the Latin American Evangelical Alliance. He has also been Secretary and representative to the World Evangelical Alliance for two years.
Through Marcos's service, the local, national, regional, and global church has heard God's call to loving action that brings hope to vulnerable children and families.
