Innocent is a social worker and human rights lawyer, passionate about and dedicated to child protection and child care reform, including alternative care, deinstitutionalization, family strengthening, early childhood development, community development and human rights. He has more than 16 years of experience in working directly and indirectly with communities and families. Innocent has ably supported the government of Rwanda in its efforts to transform child care provision, strengthening family care and reversing the trend to institutionalize children, including demonstrating that children with disabilities need to and can be supported in families.
