Clara Makosa

Pastor, Systemic Family Therapist, Christian Counselor, and Bible School Facilitator

Clara champions family from a systemic ethos which argues that no person is an island; rather, we all belong to a family, whether it is a family of origin (FOO) or a family of choice (FOC). She is passionate about three principles: (1) children thrive in a family (whether FOO or FOC) and as part of God’s family; (2) youth need to be mentored and embraced to live out their God-designed purpose; and (3) adults in these families should know better so as to do better as they lovingly parent children.

Clara fuses her teaching gifts with over 20 years of experience in counseling to impart parenting skills and mentoring competencies. She is an ordained pastor under Celebration Churches International. Clara and her husband, Robertson, oversee churches in Malawi and Zambia. Clara is also a senior lecturer with Celebration Bible School and a trainer in the Ladies Discipleship Program. In her capacity as a registered health professional, Clara interfaces with a variety of stakeholders whose decisions impact children’s quality of life.

Clara and Robertson have three daughters, one of whom is adopted, and live in Harare, Zimbabwe.
