As the Russian invasion of Ukraine brings more destruction and deaths, people in Dnipro, a city of one million, are facing wintertime without electricity, water, and heat in their homes. Dnipro has been hit multiple times, but on October 18, 2022, a power plant was targeted (photo).

People need a place where they can keep warm during cold times.

World Without Orphans staff member Dima Bereza lives in Dnipro with his wife and children. Dima is working to help people in his part of the city.

“We already have a petroleum generator. Next, we are working to stockpile enough wood to be autonomous in case the city’s infrastructure is again damaged. We need to buy and fill as many gas cans as possible for the generator, and we need to purchase an electric battery to power a water pump and keep communication devices charged and functioning in order to receive critical information from the government to help them stay safe and connected with loved ones and work.”

Thank you for your support for the people of Ukraine who need your help now. May God bless your generosity.
