People in Ukraine are being significantly impacted by the loss of electricity due to missile strikes on critical civilian infrastructure, as well as planned blackouts to conserve power. Residents in Kyiv and the surrounding area have been hit particularly hard with power outages that last for extended periods of time. You can imagine the challenges this presents to school-age children and their families. Not only are many children no longer able to safely go to school, but now their ability to attend online school is also significantly diminished. We know that education is important for many reasons, but it is uniquely valuable when children are living through the hardships and uncertainty of war. Routines like schoolwork can help children feel safe.

We have friends in the Kyiv region, the Koshelev family, whose three oldest children have been trying to study online, but it's almost impossible due to the frequent power outages and a requirement of the school that students be online in the morning. Our friends need an education option that would allow their children to study online when they have power.

There is a private online school that would provide this flexibility, but the additional cost of tuition is beyond the Koshelevs' reach at this time. Since the start of the war, they have experienced a significant loss of income, making it very difficult to meet even regular expenses. The family is praying and trusting God to meet their needs.

We know that people care about what is happening in Ukraine and the impact of the war on families and children, but may not always know how to help, so we wanted to share this opportunity with you. The cost of private online school tuition for the Koshelevs' three oldest children is a total of $150 per month. Our goal is to raise $1,050 to cover 7 months of tuition, which would enable all three kids to finish the school year. A donor has offered to match the first $300 given so we can meet this need as soon as possible.

Would you prayerfully consider coming alongside the Koshelev family with a gift toward this need? Your prayers and donation of any amount are deeply appreciated. Thank you.
