“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…”
I. God’s Heart for the Vulnerable

- Key Point: From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals Himself as Father to the fatherless. His heart beats for the broken, the abandoned, and the vulnerable.

II. True Religion is Active, Not Passive
“To look after orphans and widows in their distress…” – James 1:27

o The Church is called to be the place where restoration begins. - Application: We can join God’s restoration through fostering, adoption, family support, mentoring, and walking with families in crisis.
IV. What Can We Do Today?

- Pray – for vulnerable children, families in crisis, and care workers.
- Give – to ministries, programs, or families serving vulnerable children.
- Go – visit, volunteer, or serve directly.
- Open your heart/home – foster, adopt, or support families who do.
- Join the Movement – partner with local and national networks to make lasting change.
