Remmy Hamapande

Program Director, Forgotten Voices Zambia

A former risk assessor for Barclays Bank Zambia, Remmy felt called by God to become a children’s pastor. With high unemployment in Zambia, his bank boss thought he was crazy. Upon graduating from TCCA, a Theological College for Central Africa in Zambia, Remmy met Ryan Keith from Forgotten Voices; and, a partnership to work with local churches in their orphan care ministry began.

Today, Remmy is charged with overseeing Forgotten Voices programs in Zambia. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Studies, majoring in Human Security and Development, and specializing in the role of the church preventing abuse of children and women. He is also a children’s pastor in his local congregation. He and his wife, Irene, live in Ndola, Zambia.
