Ryan is the son of his father, Denis, who served for 40+ years as a pastor, and his mom, Valerie, who has never met a stranger. Ryan serves as the Pastor of Strategic Initiatives at West Shore Free Church in Pennsylvania, USA. There, Ryan helps launch initiatives that address community challenges and engage area churches. The first strategic initiative is focused on their region's foster care crisis. Before becoming a Pastor in July 2018, Ryan served for 12 years as President and Founder of Forgotten Voices, which is demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ by equipping local churches in Africa to meet the physical & spiritual needs of children orphaned in their communities. Previously, Ryan spent 5 years engaged in economic development in Pennsylvania, USA. Ryan hosts a new podcast debuting in October 2019 called, Seeking Deeper, and writes at DearTired.com. Ryan holds a BA in Politics from Messiah College and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He and his wife, Katie, live in Pennsylvania, USA with 3 young children and recently began hosting voluntarily-placed children through Safe Families for Children. Ryan enjoys talking to strangers and discovering how God is on the move.
